What you'll need before you start
Three things. No technical setup required.
A Shopify store
Any plan, including Basic. If you don't have a Shopify store yet, start one first — it takes about 10 minutes.
Apple Developer account
$99/year. We walk you through getting one if you don't have it. Requires a few minutes of ID verification on Apple's side.
Google Play Console
$25 one-time fee. Straightforward registration, no review process. Takes about 5 minutes.
Common questions
Do I need a developer?
No. The builder runs inside your Shopify admin. You set colors, fonts, and per-screen layouts without writing a line of code. Compilation and store submission are our job.
What if I don't have an Apple or Google developer account?
We walk you through it. Apple Developer is $99/year and takes about 10 minutes to set up. Google Play Console is a $25 one-time fee. Neither requires a technical background.
What happens to my app if I cancel Appolar?
Your app stays live. It's published under your own accounts, not ours. Canceling stops future updates, but the binaries on App Store and Play Store keep running.
Can I make changes after the app launches?
Yes. The builder stays live in your admin. Color, font, and layout changes deploy as OTA updates — no App Store review needed. Major structural changes require a new build.
Does my existing Shopify store need any changes?
None. We read your catalog through the Shopify Storefront API. Products, variants, inventory, pricing, and discounts all sync automatically.
What Shopify plan do I need?
Any plan works, including Basic. The Storefront API we use is available on every Shopify plan.
